Price
The price of 1 box is $39.99, with the option to purchase a monthly subscription for $29.99 per month. As I write this review, their I Love You More Than Pizza box is currently on sale for $20! As you'll see below, you get a lot in one box so this is a great deal!
What was in the box:

Activities:
This box has 4 activities. You keep track of the points you earn for each.
1. Beach Ball Volleys: The beach ball provided is covered with fun questions and challenges. This activity had us laughing the whole time.
2. It Takes Two to Trivia: This Jeopardy-style trivia game had us on our toes. Josh was highly impressed that I was able to answer the hardest question of the deck correctly! :)
3. Foreheads Are Better... : Here we used the headbands provided to play a game. We had to place a card in the headband and have the other guess the category. We were a little tired after a long day of work and taking care of the kids so we didn't get as many points with this one as we had hoped! This is also a large deck and we weren't able to do all of them.
4. You Think You Know Me?: Several questions were provided to see how well we know each other. Besides the fact that it was a fun competition, this activity provided us with more conversation starters as we reflected on the questions. It was fun to see who knew each other better. Josh won this activity!
Our Rating:
How well it helped us connect: Retro Game Night had a lot of fun and silly questions. Many were challenges. For example: Josh had to rub my shoulders until he learned something new about my childhood. I particularly liked that one. :)
Quality: Everything was made with quality materials. Even the box was sturdy and closed with magnets. A plus to having quality materials like this is that you can reuse some of the materials for a future date night at home. We definitely plan to reuse the beach ball and Foreheads Are Better card deck.
Time to complete: We treated ourselves to the Retro Game Night box after the kids went to bed. The activities were lengthy and we had to cut one of them short because we wouldn't have been able to get to the rest of the box. This can be seen as both good and bad. If you are hoping to finish the box in one "date night at home", this box has too much. However, if you'd like to be able to continue the activities after the date is over, this box is perfect for you! It depends on what your expectations are.
Activities: The activities were very creative and fun. Each one was unique while still adhering to the overall theme. We can't wait to try another box from Crated with Love to see what else they come up with!
Conclusion:
Overall, you can easily stretch this date night box into 2 dates, especially if you do this while eating dinner like we did! The quality of the materials and the quirkiness of the questions made this box unique. You will not be disappointed with Crated with Love!
